Periklis was born in Athens-Greece. From 1995 to 2002 he studied composition at the University of Music and performing arts in Vienna. He finished his studies with high honours and was awarded the academic degree of Magister Artium (masters degree in classical composition). He holds a teaching position in  University of Music and performing arts in Vienna for Harmony, Counterpoint and Composition since 2002. 

He has been awarded prizes and scholarships for his work by the City of Vienna, the City of Graz, the University of Music in Vienna, the Austrian Office of the Federal Chancellor and the Greek Friends of Classical Music society. Commissions were made to him by the city of Trossingen in Germany, the Ensemble Modern International Academy, the Austrian Ensemble PHACE, the Ensemble Oktoplus of the German NDR, the Wiener Saxophonquartett in Vienna, the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Greek National Orchestra etc.

His works have been performed in festivals like Wien Modern, the International Bach Riga festival, Kulturtage of the European Central Bank, Austrian Allegro Vivo festival etc. His chamber operas have being performed in Austria and were welcomed by the Austrian press as “a new fresh air blazing from the south” or were described as “a sounding wonder-world”. His chamber opera “Alice” based on “Alice in wonderland” by Lewis Carroll was recorded by the Austrian State Radio station ORF and it cαme out as a “Hörspiel” in 2013. In 2015 a portrait triple CD with 3 of his chamber operas came out on “einklang records” and was financed by the “Österreichische Musikfonds”. In 2017 his Opera “Chodorkowski” was nominated with the prestigious Austrian “Schikaneder Music-theatre price” . 

Periklis has written over 100 works of classic/contemporary music, including several compositions for orchestra, music theatre, opera, chamber music, as well as music for installations, dance-theatre etc and has collaborated as a composer, sound designer or dialogue editor for over 20 short films, animations and documentaries. He has also scored music and worked as a sound designer for several indy game teams.

In his compositions he blends different musical styles like orchestral, operatic, electronic and pop/rock. The mixture of this polystylism with his dedication and deep understanding of the art of sound design as it is used in Film and/or the stage, has led him to a very personal musical style.
